IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act, ot the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled 'The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858»' I Alexander Le Grand Campbell, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Moutere, do hereby give notice, that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the Fourth day of November, 1861, issued under the hand of his Excellency the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, an ELECTION will be held for the return of ONE qualified person to serve as a MEMBER of the PROVINCIAL COUNCIL for the said Electoral District, and that the NOMINATION of Candidates will take place at the School-house, Lower Moutere, on TUESDAY, the Seventh day of January, 18*52, at noon ; and that the PoLL (if necessary" will take place on Tuesday, the 14th day of January, 1862; and the result of the Poll declared at six o'clock, p.m., on the same day.
