RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT, PORT CHALMERS.
(Before A. C. Strode, Esq., R.M.) Thursday, December 19. Isaac Codes, from Dunedin, groom,"was charged with using obscene language iv the public streets, at Port Chalmers, on Wednesday, the 18th day of December, 1861. Defendant having admitted the offence, was fined 40s. in default of payment to be imprisoned for sevea days. FitfDAY, 20th Dec, 1861. Peter Shea, of Port Chalmers, labourer, was charged with having an unregistered dog in his following, abont the age of six months, pr.'or to the Ist day of April, IS6I, at Port Chalmers, on Tuesday, the lbth diiy of December, 1861. Defendant fined 20s. and costs 6s. Gd.
