A PUBLIC EXAMINATION of the children of the Baptist Chapel Sabhath School, Bridge-street, will bo held on FRIDAY next, December 27, on the Practice Ground of the Volunteers, in the Maitai Valley; the children will arrive on tho ground at half-past Eleven o'clock. At the conclusion of the examination prizes will be distributed and the children will sit down to tea. Tea will also be provided for parents and friends; tickets, adults, Is. 6d.; children, Is., may be had of the Misses Jay, or any of the teachers. On the following Sabbath two sermons will be preached at the Baptist Chapel, when collections will be made in aid of the Sabbath School.
