Beto Ptettsetiteitts. To the Electors of the Province of Nelson. O.ENTLEMEN.—The nomination of the candidates for the Superintendency is appointed for Saturday, the 30th instant, at Nelson. I beg to inform you that I hope to publish a full exposition of my principles and proposed line of action in the Colonist of Tuesday, the 26th instant, and the Examiner of the following day. As the day of election does not take place until three weeks later, that statement, together with a report of the proceedings ou the day of nomination, will enable you to decide in your minds as to the qualification of each candidate. GENTLEMEN.— His Excellency tha Governor having issued the Writ, under which you will shortly be called on to exercise the right-of electing a Superintendent for your province, I now hold office only till you have again made your choice. Having been twice elected to this important position, you are able to judge of the manner in which I have fulfilled the duties that have devolved upon me ; and should you consider that I have faithfully and judiciously exercised the trust placed in me, I shall be most "happy to receive a renewal of that confidence which you have hitherto reposed in me, and for which I shall ever entertain the most grateful feelings. IN accordance with clause 10, of the "Country Roads Amendment Act, 1858," the Owners and Occupiers of Lands or Tenements within ihese Districts, or their Agents, are hereby requested to forward to the Road Board., within one calendar month from this date, a statement in writing, of the quantity and nature of the Lands or Tenements owned or occupied by such persons within these districts, with the names of owners or occupiers thereof, and the estimated value to sell of such properties.
