DEATH FROM DRINKIKG.
A Coronet's Inquest, was held on Thursday Gth August, at the Albert 13airacks, ou view of the body of Charles M'Leary/ guuner iv the Tloyal Artillery, who was found dead in his bed on his barrack room, at 3^ a.m. on the same morning, He answered to his name at roll call
on the preceding evening, but was somewhat the worse for liquor at the time, although (according to the evidence given) far from being helplessly intoxicated. A comrade having occasion to go into the room at the hour above mentioned, found him dead. He was lying on his bed ou his side with his face downwards. The man in the adjoining bed was not disturbed. —A' postmortem examination by Dr. Temple, R.A., discovered congestion of the brain and lungs; tho brain and stomach smelled (if alcohol. The verdict returned was, ' Died from excessive diinkiog.'
