Rifle Shooting. ■THREE PRIZES for RIFLE SHOOTING -*- will be given by No. 9 Company Volunteer Rifles, Waimea South. The Ist Prize will be Six Pounds; 2nd Prize, Four Pounds; 3rd Priz6, Two Pounds. The PRIZES will be SHOT FOR on WEDNESDAY, the 17th day of July next, on the Practice Ground of No. 9 Company, Spring Grove. Any Volunteer or Militiaman of the Province of Nelson may compete for the Prizes by paying an entrance foe of five shillings. Persons desirous of competing for the same will please send in their names to the undersigned on or before July Ist. Each person to fire three rounds each at one hundred, two hundred, and three hundred yards' range. The person making the highest score to win the Ist Prize; second highest, 2nd Prize; third highest, 3rd prize. Should ties be made, the persons making them will have to fire three rounds each, at four hundred yards, to decide the same. Firing to commence at Nine o'clock, a.m., precisely. Competitors are requested to bo punctual. Should any one be absent when his name is called, ho will forfeit his chance, provided he is not there by Ten a'cloek. H. W.
