By the arrival of the Necromancer from Wellington last night we were kindly furnished by Captain Terry with a Wellington paper ol last Saturday, in which we find that the Wanganui Chronicle contains a report that some natives had arrived there from Waitara, which place they left on the 23rd ultimo. They say that a lengthened fight took place near Pukerangiora, which resulted iv the troops being chiven back with considerable loss, and that two other engagements had taken place, in which the troops were defeated.
