RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

[Before J. Poynteb, Esq., Resident Magistrate.] Saturday, December 22,1860. J.Kitson,jun, and James Fox were charged with being drunk on the previous night: offence admitted—fined 10s. and costs. Mark Btytlie, of Nelson, maltster, was charged by Richard Loasby, of Nelson, shoemaker, with allowing three goats to be at large in Bridge-street. Fined 2s. 6d. and costs. Daniel Stewart was fined 3s. for allowing a cow to be at large. Joseph Gardiner was fined 7s. 6d. for allowing three bullocks to be at large. George Cox of Nelson was charged by the Inspector of Weights and Measures with having two unstamped measures in use in his shop in Bridgestreet. He admitted the measures being in his shop, but said he had not long; bought them.. Finsd 41 «wl coats.
