The grass plains at the junction of two tributaries of the Grey flowing from the northward into that river at about from thirty to forty miles froni its mouth; these plains being situated upon the second river westward from the main stream or Grey, viz., the branch which flows down from the- pass to Tatrinui, and bounded by the bush. District—Maruia. ■ Commencing at the junction of the river Warwick with the River Maruia; thence in a north-easterly direction by the said River Warwick for three miles; thence by forest land to Kopi-o-kai-tangata, or Canibal's Gorge; thence crossing the River Maruia, and proceeding in a south-south-west and westerly direction by the edge of the forest land to the Ruhu stream; thence bounded by the forest land extending from the Ruhu stream to Mount Burnett, to the point where the Eiver Warwick falls into the River Maruia.
