FRANCE AND SWITZERLAND.
It is announced that the Conference on the cession of Savoy will take place, England, having given in her adhesion to the proposal. Switzerland will, it is said, submit to it only one question— whether it is in the interest of Europe and the neutrality of Switzerland to have the Sim pi on Pass perfectly accessible to France without demanding fresh guarantees? Lord John Russell has expressed his firm intention of, supporting the right of Switzerland to claim new guarantees. --■ It was stated .some time ago that the French contemplated not only a postal service' from Suez to Shanghai, but from Galle to Calcutta; a Red Sea line, and a line between the Mauritius.and Suez, with branches all over the world. They now say that seven of the 13 steamers required for the Chinese line are already on the stocks. ' It is announced that the Emperor Napoleon has authorised the institution of a National Shooting Association in France, on the same principle as that recently inaugurated in England. Jules Gerard, .the famous lion-killer, i 3to have the management of the enterprise, and a commission, has already been appoiuted to make the necessary arrangements. ■ ■ ■; The entire force of the Imperial Guard will go ■to the Chalons camp at the beginning of September, and in connection with this news it is again reported that the King of Prussia and several..other German sovereigns will"pay a visit to the Emperor' on the occasion. The Correspondence BulUer says that"" the camp of Cliakms, in 1860, will rival that of Bolougne in 1804, which was formed on the eve of the battle of Austerlitz." The Emperor is to go to Chalons immediately; ' •
