The Mills: flour, fine, £21 to <£23 per ton, sharps 8s to 10s per 100 lbs., bran Is to Is 3d per bushel, wheat 9s 6d to 10s do.
Potatoes 7s to. 8s per cwt., cabbages 5s per dozen, onions 6d per lb. The market has been abundantly supplied with beef, mutton, and veal. The following are the retail prices: beef 5d to Bd, mutton 5d to Bd, pork 7d to 8d per lb., lamb 6s 6d to 7s 6d per quarter. Butter, fresh, Is 8d per lb., eggs 2s per dozen, ham and bacon lOd to Is 4d perlb. Sawn timber, boards, 11s to 14s per 100 feet, scantling 9s to 12s do., bricks £310s per 1000. Independent. Melbourne, August 22.—The flour market is depressed. Fair Adelaide brands were sold by auction to-day at £17 10a. . . Adelaide, August 22.—Flour and wheat market remains inactive. Prices are purely nominal.— Sydney Merald, August 23.
