The lecturer 'commenced with the word " home," its meaning and associations; showing what a home was not (to'the mortification of all bachelors), and then what it really was; proceeding to detail what constituted the elements of a home, and giving simple and easy directions as to the best method of making one, quoting and enlarging upon the lines of Cowper^ • <. ■ ■ ■■■■' ■■' .■':. . Throughout the lecture,; which was delivered in, a familiar, conversational style, were interspersed amusing anecdotes, practical every-day truths, and sound Christian counsel.
