j Accident to Mr. llaukness. —While this igent'eman'.was returning from I^elspn to Richimond on Wednesday evening last, his horse, which j had started at something in the road and was with ! difficulty held in, fell with him when close to Mr. iHarknessss house. We are happy to heav that^ I though he was very heavily thrown, nothing I serious is apprehended. The horse is very much iinjured in the leg. Taranaki.—The amount contributed to the Taranaki Aid Fund at WellingtQn up to August 21st was £470 163. 6d.
