Majben.-—On the 12th August, after a long illness of eight years, George Goldbeck JVlaiben, third son of Mr. W. Maiben, Waimea-road, Nelson. Fagan.—On Thursday, the 16th August, at the Hospital, of disease of the heart, Thomas Fagan, Ser-geant-Major of Police, aged 51 years. He died with true Christian resignation, and his end was peace. BIRTHS. Scott.—On the 12th August, at Marybank, Su-burban-north, Mrs. Richard Scott, of a daughter. Augakde.—On the 16th July, at Stock Exchange Farm Quail-valley, Mrs. Augarde, of.a son.
