On Thursday morning, shortly before six o,clock,' a fire was observed on board one of the numerous vessels at present in harbour. She proved to be the Margaret, which arrived here in May last from Sydney, and having sustained extensive damage on the passage, had had been laid up for repairs. It was not. until nearly eight o'clock that strenuous exertions were made (to extinguish the fire, and she kept burning until 2 p.m.. when she was scuttled at her anchorage opposite Swinbourne's wharf.— Wellington Spectator. Tug Lost Found.—The steamer Lyltelton for Lyttelton, which was given up for lost at Syruon's Bay when the Stirling left the Cape, and she had previously put into Fernando Bay and Hondeklip.
