Saxton, Esq., having become vacant through absence, Notice is hereby given to the Electors under the Trust Funds Act, that the NOMINATION of a GOVERNOR to fill the vacancy thus created will take place at noon, on SATURDAY, the 14th of July, at the Court House, Nelson. -■ In the event of a Poll being demanded, due notice will be given of the necessary arrangements for taking the same. Nelson, June 18,1860. 735 NOTICE. *"~~^ WHEREAS by a DEED of GRANT ' * under the Seal of the Colony of New Zealand, and tested at Auckland the sth day of January, in the year 1855, all that piece of LAND situate in the .City of Nelson, in the said colony, containing one acre, more or less, bounded on the north by Washingtonroad, on the east by land, granted to Daniel Dixon, and on tha south, and west by land granted to Johs Bdrns, was granted to James Watkins, Samuel Ironside, John Aldred, William Hough, Adam Jackson, John Riley, and Richard Wallie, and the survivor of them and t the heirs and assigns of such survivor, in trust to permit the saidXand and all Buildings thereon erected or to be erected' to be for ever appropriated to the use of the Schoolmaster for the time being attached io the school belonging to the people called Methodists, in the connexion established by the lato Reverend John Wesley. Now notice is hereby given that at the next meeting of the' General Assembly for the said Colony of New Zealand, a.petition will be presented on behalf of such of the said Trustees as are qualified, for leave to introduce a special Bill to empower the said Trustees to sell and dispose of the said piece of Land, with all the Buildings thereon, and to provide for the investment of the proceeds of sale in the purchase of other Land in the said City of Nelson, and the erection thereon of a Minister's dwelling house and school house, to be vested in Trustees for the use of the said people called Methodists, in the connexion aforesaid, in the said City of Nelson. IVTELSON INSTITUTE.—The GENE- ■^ RAL HALE-YEARLY MEETING of the MEMBERS of the above Institute will take place in the Reading Room, on THURSDAY, the 12th July next, at Seven o'clock in the Evening, for the purpose of receiving the half-yearly Report'of the [Committee, of electing Auditors, and for the transaction of other business. The following alterations in Rules will be proposed :— To substitute the following for rule 9 :—■ " The subscription to the Institute shall be as follows:—First, life members paying agio at one payment ; secondly, annual subscribers to the ReadingRoona, paying 10s. per annum ; thirdly, half-yearly subscribers to the Reading-room, paying ss. halfyearly; fourthly, annual subscribers to the Library, paying 10s. per annum; fifthly, half-yearly subscribers to the Library, paying ss. half-yearly. All subscriptions to be paid in advance; yearly subscriptions on the first day of January, and half-yearly subscriptions on the first day of January, and the first day of July in each year." !
