The Meeting at Auckland.—The following is a list of the tribes, and the number of Chiefs representing each tribe :-—Ngatiraukawa—Otaki 6, Rangitikei 1, Manawatu 2; JSTgatiawa—Waikenea 1 ; Ngatitoa—Wainui 1, Potirua 5 ; Ngatihau—Wanganui 6; Ngapaerangi—.Wanganui 1; Te Patu Tokotoko—Wanganui 1; Ngatipourua—• Waitotara 1 ; Ngtiapa—Turakina I, Wangaehul; Ngaitahu—Otakou 1. — Wellington Spectator. State of Trade.—The trade of Wellington is in a worse state at present than it has ever been in the remembrance of that high authority—the oldest inhabitant. Nor is any improvement to be anticipated while such vaccillating conduct marks the counsels of the Governor, and such antagonism exists between the Executive and Legislative branches of the Government of the Province. Let us trust that the General Asembly, which will meet at Auckland this month, will do something to remedy the present state of things.— Wellington Advertiser, I
