OUR CASUALTIES AT WAITARA.
We were unable to publish in our last issue a list of the killed and wounded at the attack on the Puketakauere pah. This is the more to be regretted since the report of the engagement is already on its way to Australia and England, where the greatest anxiety will be felt to ascertain the names of those who constitute the list of casualties of which we could only give the total. The public must, for the time, dispense with the official statement, which, it seems, must go first to the War Office in London, before it reaches many an anxious home, even in Australia. The subjoined list, though incomplete, may, we believe, be depended upon. In our next issue we trust to give a complete list. Royal Naval Brigade— Captain H. Beauchamp Seymour, R.N., wounded severely in leg. Lewis Delbridge, Sergeant, EN., ditto, ditto. Henry Baker, R M.A., ditto, in arm. Charles Churchill, A.8., ditto, ditto.
