WHEREAS by a DEED of GRANT » * under the Seal of the Colony of New Zealand, and tested at Auckland the sth day of January, in the year 1865, all that piece of LAND situate in the City of Nelson, in the said colony, containing one acre, more or less, bounded on the north by Washingtonroad, on the east by land granted to Daniel Dixon, and od the south and west by land granted to John Burns, was granted to James Watkins, Samuel Ironside, John Aldred, William Hough, Adam Jackson, John Riley, and Richard Wallis, and the survivor of them and the heirs and assigns of such survivor, in trust to permit the said|Land and all Buildings thereon erected or to be erected to be for ever appropriated to j the use of the Schoolmaster for the time being attached to the school belonging to the people called Methodists, in the connexion established by the late Iteverend John Wesley. Now notice is hereby given that at the next meeting of the General Assembly for the said Colony of New Zealand, a petition will be presented on behalf of such of the Baid Trustees as are qualified, for leave to introduce a special Bill to empower the said Trustees to sell and dispose of the said piece of Land, with all the Buildings thereon, and to provide for the investment of the proceeds of sale in the purchase of other Land in the said City of Nelson, and the erection thereon of a Ministers dwelling house and school house, to be vested in Trustees for the use of the said people called Methodists, in the connexion aforesaid, in the said City of Nelson.
