AQUATICS.
Australia v. England —In reference to the challenge sent from this colony by Dick Green's friends, we find the following in the London Bell's Life of November 20:—"In answer to the challenge which appeared last week on the part of Richard Green, of Port Jackson, we are requested by Henry Kelly (exChampion ofthe Thames) to state that if Green will come to England, he will row him from Putney to Mortlake for J2500 aside (open for ,£1000), and will allow the same expenses as proposed in the challenge alluded to." This we presume sets the matter at rest, for we know Green has no idea of going abroad.—* Sydney Era.
America v. England—Robert Chambers, the present Champion ol England, has accepted the challenge made by the American Champion, to row him on the river Hudson, for £500 aside; JglOO allowed for expenses, or he will row him on the Thames on the same terms.— -English Mail, December 19.
