The Golconda which arrived last Saturday has brought with her some 103 statute adult passengers, all of whom with the exception of one, are for this port, amongst whom were some of our old fellow settlers, including Mr. Saxton, Mrs. Nicholson and children and the family of the Stratfords. She accomplished her passage in 110 days from the Downs, and all the passengers express themselves highly pleased with the accomodation and treatment they leceived from the Captain and Surgeon. We regret to have to record three deaths, one a gentleman bound for New Plymouth,—his .state of health was, however, very bad when joining the ship, being then suffering from consumption. The others were Thomas \ Jones and his infant son who purvived him about two months. We understand that a letter of thanks will be presented to the doctor of the vessel. This is the first visit to Nelson made by Captain Montgomery, but he is well remembered by all the earlier settlers of Canterbury, having made tho voyage in the Sir George Seymour, which brought, out the first arrivals amongst the land purchasers of the old association, many of whom will no doubt be glad to hear of the sale arrival here of their old friend.
