RE-APPOINTMENT OF SIR GEORGE GREY.
We copy the following from the Supplement ol the Home News, Tuesday, December IS. " The re-appointment of Sir George Grey to the Government of the Cape, although not officially notified, is understood to be decided upon. The merchants in the city who are interested in the African trade have strengthened the hands of Government by agreeing to a memorial praying for Sir George's reinstatement. -~
