TWENTY YEARS AGONE. j I remember smiling faces . \ Twenty years agone, : . . ■:■- . . Where.like sunshine on a river ' Mirth and laughter wantoned ever, And care's shadows lingered never, i Twenty years agone. . .' ; \ I remember happy voices , j -^ Twenty years agone, - ■•. Like clear streams, in spring-time singing, Lilo blythe woodlmd music ringing, '. Gladness still around them flinging * Twenty years agone. I remember tender bosoms, Twenty years agone. ; With rich feeling ever growing, With love's treasure ever flowing. : Gentle thoughts on all bestowing, Twenty years agone. Ah those loving ones ar-d lovely, Whither have they flown, ; Soothing hands may yet caress me, Kindly bosoms stiil may press me, But not as were wont to bless me, Twenty years agone. BETH.
