Ladies and gentlemen with blue eyes, &c, have now the opportunity of having portraits taken by the new Xanthotypo process, with a clearness and distinctness hitherto unknown, and only attainable by tho Oxleyographic system. Professor Moule'a Photogen has not yet arrived, but when it-does, it will be made known by tho j ILLUMINATION OF NELSON from the Church Hill; bo that no one will be able to doubt its powers. This extraordinary invention Mr. Oxley had the honor to exhibit, eighteen months back, to the London Photographic Society, Sir Wm. Newton in the chair, where it excited the greatest interest and surprise. , The following extracts from the English journals, bear irrefragablo testimony to the perfection of Night Photography:— "Pioyal Polytechnic Institution.—On Saturday evening, at the above institution, Mr. Moule's patent process of taking portraits by artificial light waa exhibited. Mr. Moulo himself operated, and succeeded in taking, several pictures, tho finish and delicacy of which have never been surpassed, even under the most favorable circumstances in daylight, &c,"~— Morning Chronicle, November Ist, 1858. " A New Discovery in Photography.—The problem of the possibility of taking photographic portraits by artificial light, has just been satisfactorily solved by Mr. Moule. Wo have had submitted to our inspection some of the most charming specimens of the art, taken by Mr. Moule's night process, wo ever looked upon. The pictures are remarkable for a beauty of shade, seldom, if ever, seen in those taken in the ordinary way."— The Sun, November sth, 1858- ---" We have before us portraits taken by tho photogenic light, which, as regards delicacy of finish and gradations of tone, are nearly equal to the very best pictures, taken by daylight under the most favorable circumstances, we have ever seen; and superior to portraits taken by daylight under circumstances less auspicious."—Photographic News, January 7th, 1859. " Tho portrait sent by Mr. Moulo is as fine as anything can possibly baS'—Suttoi's Photographic Notes.
