TARANAKI.

By Saturday's Overland Mail, we learn that Mr. Frederic Norris, a solicitor, in New Plymouth, and a Justice of the Peace, has " levanted " in the Lord Worsley, leaving many of all classes the victims of his rascality. It is said that he owes upwards of £3000; and has had the consumate impudence to declare that he is going to England to look after the interests of Taranaki in the matter of iron sand. The New Plymouth Races were well contested, but the pace was slow. " Black Jack," conspicuous at Wanganui, won two of the principal races.— Wellington Independent, April 12.
