WHEREAS WRITS under the hand of f " his Honor JOHN PERRY ROBINSON, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Nelson,, bearing date the Sixth day of December, 1858, have been directed to me JOHN POYNTER, Esquire, Returning Officer, requiring and commanding me to cause to be ELECTED by and from amongst the VOTERS duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently, and in manner and form by law prescribed, SEVEN PERSONS to serve as TRUSTEES, and TWO PERSONS to serve as AUDITORS/ under the above mentioned Acts: Now, therefore) I, the said John Poynter, do hereby, in pursuance of the said Writs, give notice, that SATURDAY, the First day of January next; 1859, is appointed for the NOMINATION to take place, at. Noon, at the Court House, Nelson, and in the event of a Poll being demanded, I hereby further appoint MONDAY, the 22nd day of January next, for the POLLING to take place. Resident Magistrate's Office, Nelson, 9th December, 1858. 500 ~ NOTICE OF TENDERS. ■','. ; TENDERS IN DUPLICATE will be -1- received at this Office until NOON, on the 29th Instant, from parties willing to contract to perform the undernamed services' for 12 months, from Ist of January, 1859. To convey mails twice a month from Nelson to the Wairau, leaving Nelson on the 3rd and 17th of every month, or on such days as the Postmaster may determine, so as to insure to the public the receipt of their letters with as little delay as possible. To remain two clear days at Blarich; and to deliver his mails at the Post office, Nelson, within 4 days after receiving them from that at Blarich. To convey mails daily between Nelson and Rich* mond. The mails to be delivered at the Post office, Nelson, by 11 a.m., and the return mails to leave at 2 p.m., holidays excepted. To convey mails from Nelson to Waimea West, Wairaea South, and Wakefield, 3 times a week, viz., Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, (unless prevented by floods in the Waimea River). The bags to be delivered at the Nelson Post office by 11 a.m. The return mails to leave at 2 p.m. .
