THE MUTINY AT MOOLTAN.

The nexf event of importance, is the mutiny of the-'disarmed 62nd- .uud 63r!i Bengal legiments of Native luf'niiry at Mooltan. About noon, on the SJst August, the im:n of the two regiments were seen rushing from their lines armed with whatever weapons they could lay their hands upon. They attacked simultaneously the Artillery and Fusilier Barracks, the hospital, and the officers' bungalows. Fortunately, the Fusiliers, had time to seize their muskets, and one rattling volley sent the scoundrels to the ''rightabout." At the hospital, they were also beaten back, and so they were at the Artillery lines. Lieutenant Mules, the Adjutant of the Fusiliers, was killed, and several soldiers were wounded in the affray. The mutineers lost a number of men, but the greater number of them managed to effect their escape into the Baree Doab. bince then, however, they have been nearly all cut. up. Of the 1431 sepoys who mutinied, 800 were killed by the military, 70 executed, 500 captured, 125 did not join, and 50 killed by the villagers, making a total of 1045 accounted for already, and by latest advices, we learn that nearly the whole of the remnant have been destroyed.
