We .have received the last files ofthe above, and notice the following announcement:—
Colonial Secretary's Office, Auckland, 2Sth June, 1858. The following acts, parsed by the Superintende'it and Provincial Council of tbe Province of Nelson, intituled " Public Reserves Act," Session 5, No 4 " Auctioneers Act," Session 5, No. 5 " " Cattle Branding Act," Session 5, No. G " Dog Nuisance Act," Session 5, No. 7 " Appropriation Act." Session 5, No. 10 "Nelson Improvement Amendment Act," Session 5, No. 11
" Country Roads Act," Session 5, No. 12 having been laid before the Governor, in conformity with the provisions of the Constitution Act, his Excellency h?.s been pleased' to leave the same to their operation.

An act has been passed to authorise the formation of special partnerships, with a clause empowering the Court to punish by fine or imprisonment any fraudulent partner. Also an Act for the better Prevention of Desertion of Seamen from Foreign Ships. There is also an Act, much wanted, to Regulate the Postal Service of the Colony. The Nelson College Act has also passed, and the following gentlemen elected Governors :—Messrs. J. D. Greenwood, C. Elliott, Dr. Monro, J. W. Saxton, J. W. Barnicoat, C. B. Wither, W. Wells, A. Domett, and H. C. Daniell.
The Province of New Plymouth.no longer exists, having been on the 10th of August renamed " Taranaki." ' ' --'.---.
