The Arffus of the sth April reports:— , Flour, 'Grain, &c.-~The demand tor flour has declined towards the close of the week. Supplies have at length begun to be forwarded from South Australia, where holders; appear tired of keeping unsold the ample and increasing stocks they have, on hand.' It being now quite apparent that the' trials made of the Indian markets have proved failures, the growers must mainly depend on this market as the chief outlet ipr their surplus prdduce. A parcel of about 4000 barrels has come to hand from New York,'where prices are reported to be likely to rule low; and as our country mills are well supplied with home crown wheat, the. aspect of the flour market is heavy. " The fates procured for latest sales'of Adelaide sorts have been from £16 15s. to £17 10s. for best country and town brands, a few holders still asking ;£lB for very best. Wheat has suffered a proportionate decline in value; and, although many growers have withdrawn from the market, the ruling prices are from 6s. 6d. to 6s. 9d. per bushel.,,. . -...,
