S hipping News.

Tub Ta'smamrtn Maid, on her return trip from Collingwood, had occasion to put into; Wailajiu for the purpose of discharging cargo; when, in consequence of the harbour not being, buoyed off, she unfortunately got ashore. There were twentyfive passengers ou board at'the time, to whom great praise is "due for the assistance they rendered in digging the Maid from the bed of shingle on which she grounded. ; After four hours' hard work at digging,,and waiting other five hours for high water, the vessel again got under' steam at elev.en o'clock yesterday morning, and arrived safe and sound in Nelson'harbour last evening. She brings fifty passengers.
