WANGAPEKA.
The prospecting party have reported favorably, so much so, that they intend making up a strong party, with the intention.of turning the river, believing the gold to be very heavy in the bed of the stream. The sample brought down was very clean, and of a bright yellow color. Howell's party started up on Tuesday last prepared for a three months' trial. There are rumors of several other parties who hive started, or are preparing to do so. If successful, this goldfield will be very beneficial to Nelson.
