10 boys wrestle with credit
Ten boys from the Taupo Amateur Wrestling Club travelled to Te Awamutu at the weekend to take part in a kids' wrestling tournament. The tournament was restricted to boys five to 15 years old. All the boys wrestled well, reports club xoach Mr A. D. Mills. The heavier boys were unfortunate in that they were pitted against more experienced opponents. Nevertheless, they acquitted themselves with credit. The purpose of the tournament was to gain experience — not notch wins, said ^Mr Mills. The event was organised to give each boy as many bouts as possible.
