Tools, saws taken

Tools and chainsaws valued at approximately $2000 were stolen in two separate burglaries in Taupo at the weekend. Some time between Saturday night and Sunday morning a mobile workshop in a State forest was broken into and tools worth $812 and chainsaws valued at $1086 were stolen. The workshop was the property of Mr Peter Bell, bush contractor. Later police believe thieves entered the premises of Newmac Ltd, Matai Street, and stole four chainsaws. The Taupo CIB is investigating.
