Crete veterans club mooted

Efforts are underway to establish a Crete Veterans' Association in Taupo. Anyone involved in the battle of Crete in 1941 during the German attack and occupation has been invited to join the club. The association will be open to members of the navy, army, air force, sabo-

s teurs — and any nationality. Taupo man and Crete veteran Mr Jim Erskine decided to call for people interested in forming a branch in town after seeing a number of people wearing their Crete association badges.
