Taupo police are undecided whether they will resume their search for a Waikato farmer missing, believed drowned, after a boating mishap on Lake Taupo on Thursday. | The missing ihati ; is George Gaskell, 48, married with four '(Mldrten, of Tamahere. The accident happened in deep water a mile offshore from Kinloch about midday when Mr Gaskell's 18 foot piywood cabin craft werit into a spin, tossing him ajid two companions into the lake. The other men, 'Glifford Douglas Babington, 27, of Ngaruawahia, and Thomas Ross Reynolds, 25, of Hamilton, were picked up by another boat but Mr Gaskell had disappeared. A light aircraftP divers-

and a number of boats searched the area without success until dark on Thursday. The lake is about 50 fathoms deep in that area. Although a slight southwest wind was blowing, the lake was fairly cairn. Mr Gaskell was on a fishing holiday at Boat Harbour, close to Waihora Bay. He and his companions had gone to Kinloch to replenish supplies before the accident happened. The boat was owned and being driven by the missing man. It has an outboard motor. Mr Gaskell's two companions returned home on Thursday night. Taupo police said yesterday there was a possibility a further search for Mr ' Gaskell may be made.
