Taupo tops at netball
The annual sports tournament between Turangi and Taupo primary schools was held at Taupo recently. Turangi won both Rugby games, while Taupo dominated the netball. The soccer teams were evenly matched. Results were: — Rugby: senior Turangi 12, Taupo 4. Junior Turangi 4, Taupo 0. Soccer: Taupo i, Turangi 0. Netball: Taupo A 22, Turangi 6; Taupo B 7, Turangi B 7; Taupo C 13, Turangi C 11; Taupo D 8, Turangi D 6; Taupo E 23, Turangi E 3; Taupo F 2, Turangi F 3.
