Many set for meeting

Hamilton will be the centre of the largest convention ever held in the city by Jehovah's Witnesses. The presiding minister for the Taupo congregation, Mr J. Ridling, said local members were preparing to attend. "The four-day assembly will begin on August 15 at the Winter Show Exhibition Buildings and is expected to be attended by more than 6500 witnesses from the greater area of the North Island extending as far south as Wanganui. "Six from our congregation will be presenting themselves for public baptism at the convention in symbol of their repentance and dedication to do God's will forever," said Mr Ridling. One of the assembly highlights will be the public address on the Sunday afternoon.
