Triples tourney
The Taupo Indoor Bowling Club held an open triples tournament last Sunday. Teams from Rotorua and Taupo RSA took part. The first prize was won by a local team — W. Hancock, Mrs A. Dahm, and Miss B. Coley with five wins and a draw out of a possible six wins. D. van Kuik, M. Gilmore and Mrs M. Stewart were the runners-up. Club night on Monday saw progressive bowling, with Mrs T. Kidd winhing the skips' section. There was a play-off between Mrs L. Boyce and Mrs C. Gardiner, with Mrs Boyce winning for thirds. Mrs N. Bowen and C. Horne won the twos and lead sections.
