Special event centre for sport
Public events in the Taupo area will be able to benefit from a new Roth - mans special events centre, a mobile unit equipped with public address systems and other facilities. The unit includes an outside dais and microphones for announcirtg preevent instructions and for making final presentations. Broadcasting and Press accommodation, as well as catering and refreshment
services are provided. The mobile will be based in Rotorua and will travel throughout the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Taupo regions. This is the fourth centre to be built by Rothmans but the first to be based in the central North Island. It will be provided free for community service on request for such events as rodeos, A. and P. shows, sports days, galas and surf carnivals.
