Tender response "disappointing"

Disappointment at the number of builders who have registered to tender for the Wharerangi extensions was expressed by the arehitect, Mr Graham Cooper. Mr Cooper would not release the number. Althoiigh he was "terribiy disappointed with the results." he said he was now able to take positive aetion.

Captain A. N. Duffell, of the Salvation Army. said the public may be very surprised at the speed with whieh thihgs could happen. A meeting between the Wharerangi Advisory Board and several liigh-ranking Salvation Army officers has been held at Dover House. They diseussed the Wharerangi , projeet for more than one and a half hours.
