FRED'S
FORUM
No. 33 Most things come to an end, and ''Fred's Eorum" is no exception. Maybe only tem porarily, but enough is enough. I think it has ; achieved its object, to "rave on" about home - — appliances in a rnanner |- ;. not pos§jble with "ofdi- \ nary" advertising. Judging from the amount of ieg pulling I receive, the column has been read by not a few, perhaps it rates as better reading than juvenile ^crime and sewerage works progress! To answer two oft-asked questions — yes, I do write this lot myself, and no, Taupo Times don't pay me to write it! But if circulation figures . treble, f ' well, I could use the money. Now I mustn't waste space with trivia, rather a fina! thrusf in support of my mercenary aims. which are, "quality products and positive after ' saies service." Since opening Fred's Electric Centre in late 1972, and supplying a very large number of major home appliances -to you good people, I feel sure we've proved' the frrst bit of the i slogan. 1 I haven't had the trumpet out for a while, but the second part can't: be challenged either. Available quantity of these quality appliances is the savage part, but optimism must carry me through. The policies of stocking major home appliances only and servicing only what we sell have proved correct ones. Just in case my previous barrages haven't reached you here's a cross-section of what we sell and service:— , Atlas ranges, refrigerators, freezers. shavers, Whirlpool washers, Bonaire freez- ' ers, Miss Simplicity washers, Moffat ranges, cooking tops and wai! ovens, Hitachi cleaners, 14 different kinds of range hoods and we're Taupo Agents for Group Reqtal T.V. Thanks for reading these columns and we hope to See you in Suncourt FRED DRIVER
