Taupo man is married in Australia

The wedding of Hilary, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Penney, of Maleny, Australia, and Frank, son of Mr and Mrs L. W. Craig, of Acacia Bay, was celebrated lyThe ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. Mills in St George's Church of England, Maleny. The bride's gown was of bridal crepe, the plain bodice being trimmed with small self-covered buttons. Long sleeves and a slightly gathered skirt, finished with a deep gathered frill, completed a most attractive frock. Her cathedral length veil fell from a narrow halfmoon of small roses, with trails ■ of tiny flowersframing her face. For something old she wore her great-grandmother's cameo brooch. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Athol, who came from Taupo for the ceremony. To receive her guests, Mrs Penney wore a frock which featured a bodice and long sleeves in a floral pattern, with white collar and cuffs, with a navy skirt which matched the sleeveless coat worn over it. She wore red aceessories and her shoulder spray was of red feathers. Mrs Craig teamed an apricot jacket and skirt suit with a white lace blouse and white aceessories. Her spray was of white feather flowers. Guests from New Zealand, Maleny, Emerald, Gympie, Hervey Bay and Coominva attended the reception in the R.S.L. Hall, where the floral arrangements toned beautifully with the bridal party's colour scheme. The centre-piece of the bride's table was a two-tier cake, made and iced by the bride's aunt, Mrs D. Cox, of Witta. The top featured orange blossoms and a heart with a gold ring. White doves from the cake were sent to the groom's sister and brother in New Zealand, as they were unable to attend the wedding. The young couple have made their home in Rock- • hampton for the present. Visitors from New Zealand were Mr and Mrs L. Craig, Mr and Mrs A. Craig, and Mrs Jan Paul, all of Taupo, and Mr and ' -

Mrs R. Silvester, of Wellington. They all enjoyed a few days at Caloundra before their return to New Zealand.
