Two meetings for harriers
The Taupo Harriers Club will divide its runners next Saturday. Some will compete in the Bay of Plenty championships at Whakatane and others will run in the annual Cambridge harrier relay. Last Saturday club members , held a series of training pack runs. Results were. — B grade colts [4000 metres]: Edwin Post 1, Allan Attwood 2, Conway Fleming 3. Junior ladies [4000 metres]: Barbara Voss 1, Glenys Dryden 2. Juniors [5000 metres]:
„rE Steven Jubber 1, Mark, ' Sheldon 2, Kevin Wall 3. y Midgets [2000 metres];," John Flowers 1, MalcolmDryden 2, John Wade 3. Senior ladies [four miles]: Mrs R. Dryden 1, Mrs J. Flowers 2. Seniors [eight miles]: Keith Scandlyn 1, John Sharp 2, Rob Taylor 3. At Auckland in the annual inter-provinciaU" harrier races Gary Dryden ran well in his junior A^ event to finish 15th. Mark Howell was 14th in the junior B race. These were good placings as these boys were colts competing against juniors.
