Bride chooses a classic gown for a Taupo wedding
The Rev D. S. Knight officiated at the marriage of Valerie Joyce Prince, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Prince, of Taupo, to Gregory Laurence Leslie, son of Mr and Mrs G. Leslie, of Papakura, in St Paul's Union Church recently. The bride wore a classic gown of sheer white georgette. The bodice, skirt and sleeves were lined with blue satin and this was overlaid with fme white lace on the front of the bodice and mandarin collar. The long sleeves flowed from the elbow and the full
skirt fell into a train. A cathedral length veil was held by a coronet. The bride carried a hand spray of small white flowers. She was attended by her sister, Miss Shirley Prince, of Taupo, and the sister of the groom, Miss Lynette Leslie. They wore long gowns of blue satin and carried handsprays of small pink and cream flowers. The best man was Mr Mike Corbett, of Reporoa and the groomsman was Mr Bruce Leslie, of Ash-
burton, brother of the groom. Guests were received at the Taupo Yacht Club by the parents of the bride and groom. The bride's mother wore an emerald green gown with a cream corsage and the groom's mother wore a peacock blue gown with a pale pink corsage. For travelling, the bride chose a light blue denim trouser suit. v Mr and Mrs Leslie have made their home at Papakura.
