Prisoners in custody

The prisoners who escaped from the Hautu prison farm near Turangi on Tuesday are back in custody. They are Kingi Lawrence McGregor, 18, and James Watene, 18. Police from Rotorua were called to Turangi to assist in the search. Road blocks were set up in the area on Tuesday night. The prisoners were disturbed in the act of trying to take a car, and the police dog captured McGregor soon afterward. Watene gave himself up last night.
