The following pupils of Mrs P. Toone gained places in the speech and drama section of the Tokoroa competitions recently. — 12-13 years: Kathryn Mill — first in impromptu talk and sight reading; Janet Potter — third in sight reading, character sketch and New Zealand verse. - 10-11 years: Clare Wishart — second in sight reading, poetry, New Zealand verse, test poem; third in Bible reading, character sketch.
