Health inspector Robin Ponga's comment that Taupo folk are at the whim of the retailers caused a momentarv stir — among retailers — last week. For the record, Mr Ponga was talking about fruit, and vegetable prices early in January.
This fact appeared clear to the editor of the Taupo Times when the original story was published. It appears that reaction to the "whim" statement may have resulted from the paragraph being taken out of context. The editor.
