Taupo junior wrestlers Ricky Hurren and Michael Edge gained convincing wins in an amateur wrestling tournament at Rotorua Hurren won both his bouts with a fall. His victory over S. Blake, of Tauranga, was particularly creditable as the
Tauranga boy was far more experienced. Edge bea:t K. Ormly in a thrilling bout in which both boys showed attacking style. Other • results (Taupo names first) were: — Stephen McKenna lost to W. Taylor of Rotorua by a fall; Michael Edge lost to S. Bell, of Te Awamutu, by a fall.
