A record 235 Taupo donors came forward when the mobile transfusion unit visited here last week. More than 100 new donors were registered. The local blood trans-

tusion organiser, Mrs P. E. Winmill, is very pleased at the response. Compared with other centres, the response in Taupo in recent years

has been fairly poor. Only the regulars have supported the blood bank. But several mass donations last week

from Taupo firms, N.Z.E.D. and M.W43U improved the situation, "They were sendyxg them up by the tr^c!$|Vi full," said Mrs Winmill.^
