Public Notices TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953 CHANGE No.1 TO SEGTION 3 TO THE TAUPO COUNTY COUNCIL'S OPERATIVE DISTRICT SCHEME APPROVED Pursuant to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the change listed in the Schedule hereto, Section 3 of the Operative District S.cheme under the Town & Country Planning Act 1953 for the Taupo County Council was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 4th day of June, 1974. The Council also resolved that the undermenlioned change to the Operative District Scheme shall come into operation on the 19th day of June, 1974. Copies of the Change as approved have been deposited in the Taupo County Council Office, Lake Terrace, Taupo and may be inspected without fee by any person who so requires at any time when that place is open to the public. SCHEDULE The change affects land immediately north of Taupo Borough, bounded by State Highway No.1, Huka Falls Road, Reids Farm (Recreation Reserve) and the western bank of the Waikato River. Approximately half of this area is designated proposed scenic reserve. It is proposed to rezone the remainder, from Rural to Special Development Zones A & B to provide for large lot residential development and zone travellers' accommodation all as conditional uses. Develop.ment will proceed in three stages, the first stage being deferred (except for one motel development to be immediately operative) for three years, second and third stages to follow as required. Detailed amendments to the Scheme Statement Code of Ordinances and planning maps comprise the change documents now available for inspection. DATED at Taupo this 4th day of June 1974. C.J.
